You could temporarily disable the AV scanner (disconnect from Internet as well if you want to be extra safe during the test).
Start LMS - presumably it will start without a problem once the AV scanner is disabled. Go to the web interface and make a note of the folders listed for plugins. (LMS web interface/Settings/Information/scroll down to near the bottom) Re-enable your AV scanner.
