I was thinking about HiFi upgrades today in relation to playing vinyl. I get a slight hum when nothing is playing but itÂ’s not audible at all when playing. For a micro second I wondered whether some better cables between the turntable and my pre-amp would improve things. Then I remembered that one of my customersÂ’ is an electronic engineering business and all of their employees that I have spoken to on the subject tell me that provided the cable is manufactured correctly there is no difference whatsoever. Does a light shine brighter if it is connected with an expensive cable?
