Ok, that makes more sense (I couldn't figure out how your computer was working in the first place.)

What exact error does choosing SqueezeNetwork display?

Also, are you using PPPoE software on your PC (or some other software required by your ISP) to connect to the internet?

Sorry - typo.

Gateway 192.168.10.1

My internet access works just fine and ip addresses are getting
allocated ok.

The MAC address is also ok.

Ah, there's the problem. The DHCP server in your router isn't set
up correctly.

It should be handing out addresses in the range: 192.168.1.xxx, not
192.168.10.xxx

p.s. If your MAC address ends with 09:01:01, then it's gotten
corrupted and you'll need to reset it. Navigate back to it using the

remote and press the RIGHT arrow button and enter the number printed
on the bottom of your player.

John,
Can you list the settings in the View Current Settings on the

player

setup screens?

Dean - I'm having a similar issue. I've tried this with 6.1.1 and

6.2

26/08/05 nightly on Win2k, firmware 15. Going to try with the

latest

nightly now.

The issue seems to differ each time I connect. Sometimes I cannot
connect to Squeezenetwork at all - sometimes I can.

By failing to connect to Squeezenetwork I'm mean I select the

connect

to aqueezenetwork menu and the phrase 'connecting to
squeezenetwork...'
appears. This then disappears after a few seconds and I'm not
connected.
I've tried bumping the menu (up, down, right, left and right again
etc.
etc.)

I have nothing else on the network/internet at the time these

issues

occur. I have a 8mbit DSL connection so internet bandwidth should

not

be an issue.

Regardless of my random successful connection when slimserver is
running, I am consistently getting the issue with not connecting

to

Squeezenetwork if slimserver is not running.

If I connect to Squeezenetwork and shutdown the PC running

slimserver,

Squeezenetwork continues to work fine. Once I disconnect/signoff

and

try to reconnect once the slimserver is not running it fails to
reconnect.

I've connected successfully 23.00 GMT last night and also at 07.30

GMT

this morning to Squeezenetwork with the Slimserver service

running.

Is there any scheduled downtime for the squeezenetwork servers

that

could be affecting European timezone users?

Cheers,
John Hall
