I asked for this functionality a while back, but did not file a feature request. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=103328&postcount=5 Like you, having just the time display is a waste as my SB3 sits above my VCR and CableBox/DVR which already have LCDs showing the time. I'd also like to be able to set the SB3 to switch automatically to the SqueezeNetwork when the Slimserver is not available after a pre-set period of time. Getting a blank screen when the my server is off and having to switch manually to the SqueezeNetwork just to get the time displayed is annoying.
