I've found http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1587 on Bugzilla, which refers specifically to italian language but is marked as "fixed".
It could be reopened, but I think that a smarter action would be open up the strings used on the web to users for translation as suggested in http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2969 I can help for italian translation for sure !
