I have been using my Transporter with the SqueezeNetwork Rhapsody interface quite a bit over the past few days, and have really enjoyed the ability to listen to music of my own choosing. This is a great feature and kudos to all the Slim Devices and Rhapsody folks who made it happen.
However, I've noticed a number of stability issues as a result of these extended listening sessions: * Playback sometimes stops after a song completes for no apparent reason. Cured by hitting the Play button on the remote. * A song in the playlist is sometimes skipped, and the Transporter "Now Playing" display shows the previous song. This continues for all future songs. Cured by stopping playback, then resuming. * Playback at the start of a song sometimes gets stuck in a loop of "Rebuffering...", then playing with no output, then back to the "Rebuffering" message. Cured by stopping playback, then resuming. * The Transporter display sometimes becomes garbled and shows garbage characters after the playback has been stopped and then resumed. Cured by powering down the Transporter and powering back up. * The Transporter sometimes locks up and does not respond to commands from the remote. Cured by powering down and powering back up. I love the Transporter and the SqueezeNetwork/Rhapsody feature, and I hope these stability issues can be addressed to make the service flow smoothly without glitches. I'm running 6.5.1 official, Tranporter firmware version 27, on Gentoo Linux. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help debug these issues. -- Ron Olsen ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ron Olsen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9233 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32019 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
