I'm not using SlimServer, just connecting to Squeezenetwork from the Squeezebox itself.
It seems to me that mp3tunes works well as a storage location for music files (once the torture of Oboe is overcome) and can play them at a high quality. But Squeezebox support for mp3tunes is so bad it's unusable.
