I've also experienced intermittent severe difficulties accessing
SqueezeNetwork the last 48hrs.

I can ping the site w/o problems, but access to network and services is
very slow and/or freezing. I got the "Down for maintenence" message
yesterday.

Tonight SN seems to be down, and my SB ends up unusable too, right
after startup it connects to SN, shows "Now playing" prompt, waits for
a minute, then displays the time and turns catatonic.

This is worrying. So much of my listening is online today, and this
weekend has rudely brought home the point that my audio experience now
is dependent on a single point of failure in the Bay Area.

I have recommended the SB to all my friends (and my boss), just got my
second SB and still hope that was a smart move - but I really hope
you'll host the SN server somewhere and in some way (Amazon EC2?) where
it will stay up, like most other consumer electronic devices.

I hope that SN Product Management realizes that SN really is more than
a cost center - it really help make you money by turning your users
into hardcore ambassadors (Pandora and Rhapsody it did for me!). So
while new product development probably is ongoing and cool, server
operations should get the love it deserves, too.

best,
