Hello:

New member and my first post.

Last year I got my wife a Squeeze Box 3 unit as a Christmas present and
(thankfully!) she really likes it. She is not at all technically
inclined but she has become comfortable with working the remote and she
uses the system often. I do the "geek" work for her, such as ripping her
CDs and putting together playlists, etc.

Our server (a Dell desktop) is upstairs in my office. We have a home
network via a Belkin router. The SB3 is downstairs in the living room,
tied into our fledgling home theater system. Recently I purchased an AV
receiver (Denon 4308) and the SB works flawlessly, streaming her CDs
through our speakers via the receiver.

I am considering purchasing a subscription to the Pandora music service
for her birthday soon. I realize that we qualify for a 30-day trial but
don't want to "give" this present to her only to find out she doesn't
like it during the trial period. That would leave me scrambling for
ideas at the last minute (after the fact even).

My two questions to those of you who have tried Pandora:

1)... did you like it? Is the quality of the music as good as streamed
CDs over SB?

2)... how in the heck would she use the remote to "teach" Pandora what
she likes? Is this cumbersome? Or will she have to do this step over
the internet via a computer?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
