In the past 24 hours I have had about six different radio station live
broadcast "streams" fail to operate properly over the Squeezenetwork
and all of them have been running with no problem for months (previous
to 2/23/08).

The SB3 will connect and start "buffering" but it will not get past 90%
and it will be "stuck" at that stage. I can go back and find another
station among my Favorites and connect to that stream successfully. I
believe the problem may be at the server end.

I first noticed it with WGKA-AM Atlanta. The URL for its stream is
http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia-live/swn/5176/20_swn-16_wgka_0903_030926.asx

Log on to WGKA's web site with your computer, and you can still get a
pop-up media player with which to listen to the stream.

I have about ten different stations around the country on my Favorites
and this problem manifests itself with every station that is using the
server as WGKA is using, which I believe is edgestream. A station out
of Phoenix I listen to is using an akamai server and there is no
problem getting it over the Squeezenetwork with the SB3.

Any ideas as to what I can tell these people so they can correct the
problem they have created?

My theory is that they have changed something in how the server streams
the audio so that the Squeezenetwork no longer functions properly. The
problem is reproducible because it is always stuck at 90% buffering,
never any other point in the buffering.
