This is a bit off topic... I guess you didn't read through my post when I mentioned that I'd like to have a beer in my hand and a remote in the other. One of the closest competitors of Slim Devices is Sonos and their remote has to be held with both hands. If you look around a bit you'll also notice that 99% of AV Systems remotes are designed to be used with one hand. My comment about having a beer (my choice) in my free hand was about the ergonomics of a "future" design for a remote (now the Controller) that SD was supposed to be working on. I didn't want SD new remote design to emulate the Sonos remote. Look at the dates of my posts. Following your thread watching TV and listening to music are both "passive" activities (usually not interactive) unless you are dancing to the music. Walking around with the remote in one hand and a beer in the other is "optional". You can use your other hand as you please... you can hold a child, a rosary.. I don't care.. it just won't be tied up holding the remote while you navigate stations, channels or in the case of the Controller... the menus. Btw, the controller uses WiFi... that is what allows you to move around the house and still control your AV system from almost anywhere in your house (in my case... with beer in hand). A computer running SC server is not necessary to connect to the SN. You can connect to SN directly using the Controller/Remote in conjunction with a SR/SB (some permutations of these) or from a computer using a browser or SoftSqueeze.
