FWIW, it is highly unlikely SN would "congest".

It operates mostly as a 'matchmaker' server: it gives you the menu and
display stuff (which is very low bandwidth), and tells your Squeezebox
where to get the audio. So the audio itself comes from directly from
the stream source to your SB.... the most likely place for congestion
(especially anything affecting sound quality) to occur is at your ISP
or on your own network (especially if using Wireless... if you start
streaming music in an area with a lot of WiFi activity, your neighbor's
bittorent and other traffic will create more RF traffic which can
inhibit your throughput).

SN congestion you might see as slow menu responses, etc, but those
would also show up when you are having ISP bandwidth issues. If they
show up when music is playing fine, then SN would be having congestion
issues.

(That said, I only very rarely use SN... my tastes are odd, and my
server is on anyway, so local music is great.)
