You can use the "shuffle" button on the remote to cycle through the different shuffle modes.
I'm not sure whether it either remembers what shuffle mode you last had". I'll have to experiment with it tonight and see. I'm pretty sure there isn't a setting to activate shuffle mode on a playlist in squeezenetwork. I ran into the issue as well. Ideally I would like to be able to setup a Rhapsody playlist as an alarm (which requires adding it as a favorite which can't be done currently) and then randomly playing songs from the list so I don't have a "Groundhog" moment every morning when the playlist repeats the order.
