I too am on Comcast. I have SqueezeCenter running but all three of my devices and two remotes all are defaulted to SN (as I use it most).
If you are connected to SN before this trouble that is what is causing the remote to go wonky and hang. I went into SN home page and manually disconnected all of the devices and the remotes. Then everythig went to the squeezecenter server and it is working fine. This of course still presents the issue of - what the heck is going on with SN? I don't use open DNS (and honestly, i don't want to try and learn and fiddle wit that).
