I understand the need for advertising on the SN home page, but maybe the adds could be made less obtrusive for SN subscribers. SD can display the adds for a limited time/intervals for subscribers or show the adds for a short period of time before users logon. If the user is just visiting the page and not interacting with the SN player/playlist, then by all means leave the adds there. I've been looking at the last.fm and SIRRUS adds for quite some time now... they stopped getting my attention a long time ago. Because they take all that real estate I feel robbed of valuable UI space that can be used to improve the end-user experience. The adds are stagnant and the Player and Favorite interfaces are in serious need of improvements. The Browse, My Player, Favorites and Account links could be made into tabs along the top or along the side of the SN Home Page. There almost an infinite number of ways to improve the current SN Home page. I'm sure the good guys at SD are looking for ways to improve SN, but before having full SN overhaul, maybe they can "Squeeze" some improvements in the current interface.
