Since (I presume) the 7.1 upgrade, whenever I change music source between my server and SN, the system goes through a lengthy firmware update process on the controller and receiver. I'm assuming this will go away when my server is upgraded to 7.1, however I can't currently do this as I'm using the Thecus N5200 module so I have to wait til that gets upgraded to 7.1.
Is there any way to get SN to work in '7.0' mode to stop this, as the way it currently stands, the functionality of my system is greatly impaired due to the difficulty in switching sources. If not, can I suggest that for future upgrades, some way round this this is considered (e.g. notify of an available upgrade but have option to stay with previous version) - there's see no excuse for a SN upgrade to effectively degrade the quality of a user's system that was working perfectly well before.... This is the sort of issue that makes me wonder if the SB system will ever be suitable for the non-technical consumer.... -- mikeselectricstuff ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mikeselectricstuff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16264 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50689 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
