There are either two or three ways to control Squeezecenter - depending on whether you have a Duet (no display) or an SB3 or earlier (with player display). The web interface can be accessed by opening up a browser on a device which is connected to your network and browsing to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9000 where xxx is the address of the device running Squeezecenter. So mine is http://192.168.0.101:9000. http://localhost:9000 should work on the mac that Squeezecenter is running on too. But back to your immediate issue - the quote above doesn't look right at all - these are Squeezenetwork options. What music source are you connected to on the Controller?
