Hi, This is a follow-on post about discrepancies between what is shown on squeezenetwork and what shows up on my Boom. I believe it may somehow be related to my prior post about custom/user channels in Pandora/Slacker and not being able to play them except after making them a favorite.
The null issue: when using squeezenetwork to control my boom, if I select a favorite channel that I created (pandora or slacker) and play it, I see different things on my boom vs squeezenetwork. On my boom I see all the data: Name of channel (Stones and Led Zeppelin), Song title, Album. On squeezenetwork I see different data: Name of channel is "null", Song title (Wild Horses), Artist (Rolling Stones), and the album cover art is displayed. Refresh of web browser (FireFox 3 on Vista)does not change "null" for channel name. Picking an alternative favorite (pre defined channel in Pandora) saved to squeezebox channel (for example Steely Dan Radio) now shows Channel Name (Steely Dan Radio) Switching back via squeezenetwork to my custom "Stones and Led Zeppelin" shows "null." To recap, my new channels created/found on squeezenetwork that draw from either Pandora or Slacker cannot be played immediately. At least for Slacker, I have to "find" the channel on Slacker.com and make it a favorite, then it appears on my squeezenetwork favorite list and then it can be played on my boom. In addition, these new channels have "null" as a channel name on squeezenetwork, but they do display their channel name on my boom. Am I doing things right? Is there a squeezenetwork, pandora, slacker communication problem?
