If you use squeezecenter it is possible. I have squeezecenter installed on my laptop and on my girlfriends. We have two squeezebox booms. When I want to control one I merely select it from my squeezecenter and my girlfriend can control the other from hers. It can either be done via boom by going to settings->music source or through squeezecenter itself from the drop down menu on the top right of the webpage interface. I also have both our last.fm accounts authorised on my account and can switch between them in the squeezecenter web interface.
