Thanks for the input, but no, I only very rarely use SC - and certainly
I've seen SN forget my player settings during a period when I've never
used SC at all.

I've just found that "Keep Player Settings in Sync between SC and SN"
in SC settings.  I'll turn it off, to see if that makes any difference.
