They certainly do have to fix the mysterious "already registered" problem on new players, and ghost players on existing accounts, no question. But I don't agree that if I have the player in hand the player itself should have account previous delete/override abilities. For the few times this is an issue I love the idea that there is a stumbling block for stolen items. How diligent Logitech is with such ill gotten players I can't say, but I wish more devices had such additional safeguards. I'd bet a number of the "bought used, can't register player" posts are such cases. One recent post even mentioned that Logitech had a "security flag" on the player in question. You'll notice many such posts show no resolution. I do see your point though, honestly.
