Welcome to the end user confusion. I assume since Tiny SC (the Touch based server) won't support plugins, the app route is required for LastFM etc. The same also applies for the BBC App?
All I really know is Apps run on the clients with SqueezeOS, and Plugins run on Squeezebox Server (not if its TinySC). Managing this is going to get difficult for mixed client use......
