Try to go to mysqueezebox.com, goto players page. If the Duet receiver shows
status = 'Connected' it means it is stil connected to MSB.com server. Press
button upper right corner 'Disconnect' followed by YES.
This solved all the problems for me. I was in exactly the same situation.

WTF ?

Not for the Duet they've not (see Duet forum).

My Controller won't even connect to SS on PC now.

Factory resets for both Controller & Receiver have achieved nothing.

Boom seems to work OK.

Something serious has happened here, most likely related to 7.5.

My Duet is now useless - blue light on receiver, controller refuses to
connect to MySB.com.

Piss poor.
