I'vev been having some troubles with my Duet, and amongst these is the
inability to get the SC server (v7.5, on a NAS) to login to
mysqueezebox - the web interface had been saying it couldn't resolve
the site, now it says incorrect username/password. What is now really
frustrating me about this issue is that its perhaps not even my SC that
is the problem - I'm even having troubles logging in to their website.
I've got one PC where my login seems to be rejected (it keeps telling
me I need to log in), yet two minutes later on another PC, which was
logged in previously, I have just logged out and back in again without
a problem.

Ah, ok, before hitting "Submit" on this message, I've just found that
the 'broken' PC logs in ok using firefox. So perhaps an IE cache issue?
I'll post this anyway, in case others have the same problem.

Sunday morning rant: I am getting pretty fed with modern technology
(and I'm a s/w engineer myself!), having wasted a weekend trying to
install/configure 'commercial' products. Anyone else have the feeling
that too many things are created because they can be, without
sufficient thought to (a) whether they can be done robustly enough for
the general public (Squeezebox, NAS boxes) or (b) whether they are
actually needed by anyone (browser toolbars). The existence of forums
such as this - which deliver huge amounts of assistance to people -
seems to be giving so-called 'professional' engineers an excuse to, or
be able to be pushed into, shipping essentially unfinished software.
Giving your paying customers access to nightly builds of your software
is NOT something to be proud of.
Anyway, rant over, time to look at clearing that cache...!
