Yes... I am aware that LastFM works fine for others. That's how I got introduced. I am also aware that presently it is working fine for others as weel inspite of the Logitech message that I am receiving.
Yes, I have tried LastFM with the Squeezeboxes unsynd'd... that does not appear to be the issue as the message (as I have stated) comes up directly on http://mysqueezebox.com regardless of whether I ahve Squeezebox Server running or not. Could not answer you last question...
