I have found time to do a bit more digging and found a 'Repeat' setting accessible from the SB itself but not when editing player settings from www.mysqueezebox.com.
It was set to 'Repeat current song' which could have been set during the firmware upgrade. I guess it is also possible I could have set it by mistake but I don't think so.
