I'm on the european server in Germany and when I got home last night the display of my SB3 was blank. When I booted my computer I got a notification to update the SB Server. I did that and after the update was complete I swithed the SB3 to my SB Server and was prompted to update the firmware of the player, which I did. After that I could switch the player back to use mysqueezebox.com and everything seems fine.
My explanation (a string of semi-educated guesses actually): The mysqueezebox server was upgraded which required a new firware in the old players (SB1-3, Boom, Transport) to handle the display. The player was still connected to mysqueezebox and it was possible to control it from the mysqueezebox remote. For some reason the firmware in the player wasn't automatically updated, but if you download the server you get a copy of the firmware and are able to update the firmware using that server instead. With the new firmware installed the display works again with mysqueezebox.
