As the *rc* said, managing favorites is easier on a local SB server --
if you have one set up. And you gain the ability to organize your
stations into folders.

What about when your server isn't running? ... I created an OPML file
which I uploaded to my hosting service. I then entered my file's URL as
my first -mysqueezebox.com- favorite. My uploaded OPML file is organized
in a hierarchy, similar to what you would get from folders.

It's easy to edit that file whenever I decide to rearrange it. It's
probably not easier from the normal method overall, but I gain 'folder'
organization. It's also a geeky solution to a problem. Not everyone has
a web hosting service.

Finally, I cannot use the -mysb.com- browser-based remote control to
navigate that file's contents. To alleviate that, I have a few 'normal'
favorites. I can use my IR wand to navigate the remote OPML menu and it
works great. No local server required!

I have a SB Classic with the VFD display. And a dedicated server. I
confess I haven't used my Squeezebox at all (server nor web) in about a
month. I've been meaning to reorganize my stations and upload a new
favorites file.
