Speaking as a disinterested observer, I'd have to say your interpretation of what's required to use the Spotify app is ridiculously convoluted. I genuinely can't see how anyone could come to the conclusion that if you own a Radio or Touch, then the spotify app will then somehow work on other Squeezebox hardware, but if you don't, it won't. I would go as far as to say you're willfully pretending that's the impression you formed because you were worried you might not get your subscription refunded.
It's interesting that the only person who's responded on the thread who has read the statement in the way you have is you.
