With firmware 40 and the OP's description I believe it's an SB (aka SB1). I had always thought that mysqueezebox.com (formerly squeezenetwork.com) was not available on the SliMP3 and SB1. The wiki's hardware comparison page is consistent with that, and that is what the page has said for years now. So what seems strange to me is that the OP's SB1 was working before with Pandora and mysb.com.
