I found I could add feeds by adding the "Podcasts" app from the App Gallery.
If you have a feed that is only available for iTunes (boo!) then you can use feedflipper (you'll have to google it - the forum won't let me post a link as I'm a new member, it's on a domain called "picklemonkey") to convert it to a normal RSS.
