Do i still need a mysqueezebox.com account to stream with a new Logitech EU radio, or will it work/connect without an account?
It will play internet radio without an account. You'll need an account as soon as you want other services etc.
But the UE Smart Radio is even more dependent on uesmartradio.com than a SB Radio is on mysqueezebox.com.
