I have a small but annoying problem where despite my efforts to purge and rescan the library, there are tagging edits that do not update within the library. A good case in point; most but not all of my Bob Marley and the Wailers recordings/albums appear in the M's rather than the B's. I use MediaMonkey for editing tags and by all accounts, both artist and album artist are listed as stated above. Bob Marley is the only album artist whose name starts with anything other than an M listed in this section of my library. I other annoyances such as album that states various artists which was correct but I changed it to be a single artist for my own needs. Despite that it never gets updated when I do a library rescan. My methods have been to select clear and rescan library within the LMS settings. I also have shut down the media server service and then selected " Clean cache folder, including media library database, artwork cache, etc." Every morning my system does a rescan to search for changes as well and while that does pick up new additions, nothing is repaired with the types of problems previously described. Am I doing something wrong?
