Got the same problem and no clue. Updated to 7.9 but no Artwork is shown.
Please note that hardly any station does provide artwork. Radio Paradise is the one exception. The issue which was addressed here is not to provide artwork when there's none, but to always display it when it is available.
Your best bet is to play the station through the Internet Radios menu (or TuneIn), as in this case TuneIn will try to provide the missing artwork. Unfortunately even they don't do this right now for some legal reason. But they promised to be back in 2016.
