I would like to thank Sky.FM, DI.fm etc. for the past years of bringing me those great music streams. They have brought me many pleasant listening hours untill this morning.
I'm a dedicated listener for a long time (pre-sky.fm age). I even remember pressing the donate button on sky.fm. I realize that they must make a buck also, so the advertising system seemed appropriate and it was good and balanced untill this morning. I used to listen to radiotunes a lot on my squeezebox. Today i found out i could only listen to it with a premium account. Though i can listen for free from the android app or the website. What´s the difference between a dedicated hardware device and an android app? Why on earth are they discriminating hardware created for true music lovers? Why the need for cripling my beloved squeezebox while they are giving away the free streams for android and web? If i want to listen for free, i can, but they are disabling on purpose the main devices for the best listening experience. Of course i can pull a cable from my laptop/phone to my audio device if i really want to listen for free, but i'll doubt if i will ever do this. I think, but that's my opinion, this is not the way of pushing listeners to pay for their service. I think a large group of people will never listen to their streams (again), because they will never experience it through their dedicated device. I still hope they will consider to reopen the streams for true fans on music lover devices. * posted this on radiotunes website feedback also ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ockelz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65262 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104977
