Well, that appears to be true for LMS default skin. But when using LMS
Material for controlling a player, TIDAL navigation does not work when
the player is not registered at mysqueezebox.com. This behavior of LMS
Material is confirmed by cpd73 (developer of LMS Material), see 'this
post'
I did some further investigations and found that in my case only my
SqueezeAMP does not register at mysb.com. To be precise, it was
registered at mysb.com in the past, but it did not show-up anymore after
I deleted the player from mysb.com a few weeks ago. I expected it to
re-appear at mysb.com after controlling it from LMS, but it doesn't.
Today I deleted another software player from mysb.com ('Squeezeplayer
for Android'
and this player re-appeared at mysb.com almost immediately after
controlling it from LMS.
=> I am now thinking that maybe somebody else is (mis)using the MAC
address of my SqueezeAMP. Seven months ago I posted a screenshot of the
ESP32 firmware upload tool in another section of this forum, not
realizing that this screenshot was showing the MAC address of my
SqueezeAMP (I have now re-uploaded the screenshot with obscured MAC
addresses).
@mherger, when I PM you the MAC address of my SqueezeAMP, can you check
if this MAC address is registered on an account at mysqueezebox.com?
