It looks like this issues is some setting changed when you "reset your computer". I don't understand the " I changed the mysqueezebox.com password back to what it used to be" - login directly to mysqueezebox.com , change the password and then change the password in LMS or just the password in LMS without changing the password after logging into mysqueezebox.com I have just tested 8.2 on a Win10 system and changed/corrupted password and user id in different ways. Each time I get "unable to login" and invalid password or userid messages in server.log. I am pretty sure the issues is not password. I went though that code earlier - my initial thoughts were some sort of failure in IPV4 support with IPV6 given preference but I found no real evidence to back that up. I still feel some system or installation setting.
