At the Foundation board meeting we decided it was time to get 3.2 out
the door.
The countdown checklist for that to happen is currently:
5) BUGS - two final regressions almost closed:
* bug 3478 - workaround (not a fix unfortunately)
Amos written and build-testing that already, audit soon.
* bug 3580 - patch
Needs to be tested and committed
4) Portages from trunk to 3.2
* yes the prefix/postfix merger is going back to minimize future port
problems.
* as will the bug fixes which are confirmed problem-free in trunk
before step (2) below.
3) documentation audit and updates
* SPONSORS file
This one needs everyones eyes-on to ensure that sponsors who paid
them for any significant code development on 3.2 are listed (unless they
wanted anonylity).
* CREDITS file
This one needs everyones eyes-on to ensure that any copyrights you are
aware of for third-party authors (yourself included) is listed.
* CONTRIBUTORS file matches list of patch authors and committers
semi-automated. Amos to take care of that when the portages are done.
2) packaging final RC for 3.2 beta series
1) 14 day period with no critical bugs reported
0) stable release
* expected on 15th August.
