It's a forward proxy (defined via WPAD).

I don't see anything suspicious other than multiple lines of the kind

I can send the whole cache.log if someone cares to look at it.

I have tried looking at the cachemgr.cgi memory counters but they are
too numerous and cryptic for me.

I currently monitor squid's RES and SIZE memory usage through top and
see it ever growing. Maybe it's not a leak but something else. 
But squid27 did not behave like that under similar load.
