Here is the same effect, addresses in DNS cache resolves fast. Addresses, which must be resolved externally, pause about 10 to 20 seconds. I can`t find a reason for this. Nothing else is changed than update from squid 2.5 stable2 to squid 2.5 stable3. Hermann
