I am trying to solve a failover problem that squid + a utility may be able
to solve. I want to route traffic to particular acl's directly to src
targets on the Internet. If, those sources are unavailable, I want to
secondarily attempt to retrieve objects from peer cache servers (non-squid).
This actually works in reverse, if I query the peer servers and they are
off-line, squid automatically keeps the request alive and tries the host
origin (very cool). I need to do the opposite in some cases, try the origin,
then my sibling caches for failover. Any ideas?
