I have squid blocked but the only errors I see in syslog are:

Nov 26 12:54:40 proxy1 squid[10567]: idnsCheckQueue: ID 7a97: giving
up after 17 tries and 302.1 seconds
Nov 26 12:55:00 proxy1 squid[10567]: idnsCheckQueue: ID 7aac: giving
up after 17 tries and 308.9 seconds
Nov 26 12:55:00 proxy1 squid[10567]: idnsCheckQueue: ID 7ab3: giving
up after 17 tries and 304.0 seconds

vmstat reports:

 procs

Do you think I need aufs?
Actually I use ufs.
Thank you.
