[squid-users] default bandwidth

Dear Users

What is the default bandwidth of squid? What I wish to know is that even
though I have 37.85kbps downlink I never get this. Is there a way to
increase my downlink speed? I am using squid 2.3 stable5 on redhat 6.2.
