Can squid determine what browser is making a http request so at the end of the day you could look at the squid logs and say we have 100 Opera clients, 12 MS IE 5.0 clients, and 11 MS IE 6.0 clients,

The config file has an option "useragent_log". You could write a script to analyze the contents of this file at the end of your day once enabled...
