I hope you are using a script there in init.d setup.During the linux startup ,is it getting FAILED? > But it seems to have started well and cater to requests . So your squid is running correctly, but startup is showing as FAILED... init.d script for the squid may be the problem. check that one. > CACHE.LOG output It is working fine.
