I am using Squid.2.4.Stable1 over Linux 7.3 With 512 MB RAM 500MHz PIII 9 GB 10000RPM SCSI My squid is handling around 300 Users in peak times, the problem I am facing is the RAM, when I put the Traffic Load on SQUID it eats all the RAM in about 20 to 40 minutes. Here is the output of free command. [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc]# free ���������� ����������� ����������total������ used������ free���� shared��� buffers���� cached Mem:������ �������� ����������� 514444���� 507920������ 6524��������� 0����� 29044���� 353164 -/+ buffers/cache����������� 125712���� 388732 Swap:����� �������������������� 1124508��������� 0��� 1124508 In such condition users get jerky and very slow response.
