I'm using Fedora R3 with squid-2.5.STABLE8 (although in the log files it displays STABLE6) and I cannot get SQUID to start on boot with any script options. None in the FAQ worked. I've tried editing the rc.local, init.d and inittab files and nothing has worked. It only starts when I use squid -s from a terminal window. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
