Now you confuse me a bit. There is no Content-Transfer-Encoding in HTTP, what there is is Content-Encoding, indicating the encoding of the entity (all versions) Transfer-Encoding, transport level hop-by-hop encoding (HTTP/1.1 and later). Squid supports the first (Content-Encoding), but not the second (Transfer-Encoding). Note: HTTP/1.1 is very clear that Transfer-Encoding MUST NOT be used in responses to HTTP/1.0 requests. Some day we'd like to support HTTP/1.1, but still some work remains. Regards Henrik
