Without cache and not too complex ACLs about 700-2000 depending on the CPU power. It uses a single CPU only so multicore CPUs or SMP don't improve the situation much. On multicore/SMP servers it's possible to run more than one instance however. Note: Hyperthreading does not add anything for Squid, sometimes even degrades performance. Regards Henrik
