Hi

Doing a search for "error" pulls up:

2008/05/08 15:55:46| Ready to serve requests.
2008/05/08 15:55:46| comm_select: timeout 658

2008/05/08 15:55:46| comm_select: timeout 644
2008/05/08 15:55:47| comm_select: time out

Does anyone have anymore ideas?

I can post a selected log.

Gordon

Hi

Is there any debug info I can get to try and get to the bottom of this one - or am I going to have to try installing the i386 version of FreeBSD7 to see if that fixes it?

Since you have a reliable test you could run a short experiment adding "debug_options ALL,8" to squid.conf, requesting the failing URI and trolling the cache.log for any further information about the request.

Many thanks

Hi

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a fix for this one? Is it a bsd issues or a squid issue?

Many thanks

Gordon

Hi

The box is only used from a shell prompt(no GUI installed), but I installed lynx and the sites work fine.

Kind regards

Gordon

One last point, the sites work fine internally, but not externally and I also have another domain setup and forwarding to a different internal IP and
it does the same. The odd bit about it all is the site will come
eventually - if you have enough patience. As far as I can see there are no
errors in the log files on either server

Can you reach the sites fine if running a browser on the Squid server
but without using Squid?
